Vietnam has a mountainous terrain. Its high plateaus and mountains create sumptuous landscapes all over the country. In the north, the mountain ranges make natural borders with China, Laos and Cambodia.
The Vietnamese climate, subtropical in the north and tropical in the south, has two seasons: the dry season (November to April in the south and February to August in the centre) and the wet season (May to October in the south and September to January in the centre).
This climatic diversity and altitude encourage a particularly varied fauna and flora: terrestrial wildlife with buffaloes, deer, antelopes, rhinos, monkeys, tigers, crocodiles, panthers, etc., as well as aquatic wildlife, including up to 2,000 species of fish, whales, sharks, turtles, tuna, etc.
The varied landscapes will take you from the primary forest to sumptuous rice paddies, through the rainforest, savannah, steppes and sandy beaches.
