Description:

To start with, you will be met by your guide at your hotel lobby.

Drive 55km (around 1 hour) to the north of Hanoi where the ancient village of Duong Lam is located.
Duong Lam was one of the first villages in the country to be recognised as a heritage village, it has a millenial history. Some of its houses are said to be 400 years old and the villagers claim that two kings of Vietnam were born here.

Stroll around and enjoy the ambiance that is becoming very rare in the fast developing and modern Vietnam, the authentic country scene dotted with ancient houses and temples.

Lunch will be served in a house of a local family.

Return to Hanoi early afternoon.
Visit Temple of Literature, also known as Vietnam’s first university, built during the days of the Ly dynasty back in the 11th century.

You will attend the famous Water Puppet Show in the evening. This is a unique Vietnamese traditional art form with artists - men and women - standing waist-deep in the water to bring their puppets to life.

Trip back to your hotel at the end of the excursion.
