Description:

A beautiful day mixing cruise on the Mekong and discovery of a symbolic high place of Laos.

To start with, you will be met by your guide at your hotel lobby.
Transfer to the pier where the boat awaits you for a cruise upstream of the Mekong. From this point, you will be able to observe life along the river, the foster mother of an entire region.
On the way, stop in a local village whose specialty is rice liquor, before arriving at the Pak Ou caves.

You will reach the Pak Ou caves after 2 hours of navigation. These 2 sacred caves, located at the mouth of the Nam Ou river, are dug in karst mountains, real cliffs plunging into streams. They shelter thousands of statuettes representing Buddha, which the devotees leave during their pilgrimages. Beautiful stories and beautiful legends have been transmitted orally for generations on the site.

Breakfast in a local restaurant.
Return to Luang Prabang, for a cruise which only takes 1h30.

You will then be dropped off on the Luang Prabang peninsula, towards the Hmong market, where products mainly made in the region are gathered.

On your return to Luang Prabang, you will dock on the other side of the peninsula, at the village of Xieng Maene. To visit the village and the pretty Vat Long Khoun before crossing the Mekong to reach Luang Prabang.

Return to your hotel in the late afternoon.
