Description:

Enjoy some of the most beautiful sceneries of Bali.
You will experience the true grace of the places you visit. While trekking on the Batur volcano you feel the raw truth of the mighty giant, with a crater of 7.5 km the Batur volcano is one of two active volcanoes on the island of Bali.

We feel fortunate to have found a way to support poor local families generate income by taking visitors on this beautiful trek. You will be able to join the villages and help them to improve their everyday life in the mountain villages of Muntigunung.

Day 1: South bali – Ubud

Pick up from your hotel in South Bali to go to Ubud area.
Arrive at Singakerta village we will start walking through rice filed, garden, and artist village.
After 3 hours trekking, lunch will be provided at local restaurant. Afterward drive to your hotel for your stay in Ubud area.

Day 2: Ubud – Mt. Batur – Ubud

Early in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel to the milder climate of 1200 meters above sea level to begin your two hours trek to the top of 1717 meters to see sun rise.

Enjoy the magnificent view of the red sky when it appears during sunlight. We walk around the rim of the volcanic cone to see the crater of the last eruption.
This mountain is still active up to now and was eruption the last one in 1994.

Descending from the crater you will be back down to the black lava which flow down during the first and the second eruption. Before returning to the hotel, breakfast will be served at the restaurant while enjoying the volcano that you already climbed.
Leaving the volcano behind, we will drive you back to your hotel in Ubud.

(Only recommended to participants in good physical condition, good walking shoes required).

The rest of the day will be free at leisure

Day 3: Ubud – Munti Gunung – Candidasa

Exploring a nearly untouched part of the island of the Gods, enjoy breath-taking views and learn about the sustainable development of rural, poor villages in northern Bali. High up in the mountain villages of Muntigunung, we were touched by people that live a much less privileged life than most. We feel fortunate to have found a way to support poor local families generate income by taking visitors on this beautiful trek.

Early pick up from your hotel spectacular drive up to north to Songan near Mount Agung.

We then start trek through wild vegetation to the villages nestled along the hillside, just a short climb to the top then down to the dry coastline of the Northern Bali. We arrive at Cangkeng Village where we will stop to enjoy a fresh young coconut drink and quietness of the remote area. Arrive at Tiying Tali Village inspected of first water supply project of Yayasan Masa Depan Untuk Anak-Anak (Foundation for Children’s Future), a watering project being supported by Swiss-Indonesia non-profit organization to help local people in this Muntigunung village to improve their living conditions.

Women are trying to generate income by making baskets and handicraft which they could sell to visitors. Continue our trek to the coastline of the Northern of Bali. Lunch will be served by the beach, time for relax and take a refreshing dip into the sea

We drive you back to your hotel in Candidasa for check in.

The rest of the day will be free at leisure.

Day 4: Candidasa – South Bali/Airport

After breakfast we will start a soft trekking for 2 hours from Kastala village, experiencing breath-taking views of paddy fields and the Badung Strait.

We enter the Village of Tenganan, one of the last remaining original Balinese villages, still a stronghold of ancient traditions. You can see the local women weave the famous “flaming” cloth, kamben geringsing, which supposedly has the power of immunize the wearer against evil.

Then drive you to your hotel in South Bali or directly to the airport for your late afternoon flight to your next destination.
