A full day tour of Jakarta's historic old town.
To start with, you will be met by your guide at your hotel lobby. Start with a visit to the last remaining Dutch drawbridge in Jakarta, known as ‘Chicken Market Bridge’.
Next stop is Fatahillah Square with its paved cobblestones, walk along the historical Kali Besar Barat, lined with Dutch architecture before visiting the Wayang Kulit, or the Shadow Puppet Museum.
After the museum continue to the Harbor pass Toko Merah, or Red Shop, the former home of the Dutch Governor General van Imhoff and one of the most impressive red tiled facade buildings remaining.
Sunda Kelapa Harbour is very much attached to the history of Jakarta, it houses a range of Buganese Phinisi Schooners which can be seen unloading goods from across the archipelago. Thought to be operational since before the 13th century; this is a fascinating location that preserves the history of Jakarta.
Next you will travel to Indonesia's oldest China town, Glodok, located just outside the city walls. This area is characterized by winding lanes, slanting red tiled roofs and small dark shops and acts as a hub for the Chinese community.
Visit the oldest Chinese temple in Jakarta, the Golden Wisdom Taosit temple called Jin De Yuan, dating back to the 1650’s.
Wander the intriguing Antique/Flea Market of Jalan Surabaya, a favorite of locals and travelers alike. Lined with curios and goods ranging from Chinese porcelain to colonial Dutch trinkets this is a wonderful way to spend the afternoon haggling with the locals. Photo stops will also be possible nearby Presidential Palace and the National Monument.

Merci a toute l'équipe.
