Description:

This tour features perfectly the beautiful exotic destination known as the Island of the Gods. It refers to the profusion of Hindu Temples found in Bali and varies from simple household temples to huge richly-decorated monuments.

This trip through enchanting landscapes is a great combination of cultural and natural highlights, from the famous rice field’s terraces, to its volcanoes, wonderful beaches and marine life.

Day 1: South Bali - Ubud

Start your day with a visit to Batubulan village, which is famous for stone carving. Here you will watch a Barong and Kris Dance show that describes the eternal struggle between good (Barong) and evil (Rangda).

After witnessing the Barong dance performance, continue driving to Celuk, the center of silver works, Batuan to visit a Balinese traditional home and Mas for itsfine woodcarvings.

Your final stop is Ubud, the cultural heart of Bali with many art galleries, displaying art from both local and foreign artists. Lastly visit Puri Saren Agung whose royal family ruled Ubud from the late 1800’s until 1917.

Rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 2: Ubud - Lovina

Depart from Ubud on this sightseeing transfer to Lovina.

First stop is at Jatiluwih, for the impressive UNESCO rice terraces that this area has become famous for.
After enjoying the views over the rice terraces, continue to Bedugul, an attractive mountain resort located 850 meters above sea level. Here we will visit Ulundanu Temple, dedicated to the goddess Dewi Danu.

Afterwards drive to visit Munduk village, for a short walk through the forest to a beautiful waterfall (comfortable walking shoes required).
Next up is a visit to the hot springs at Banjar Village (swimming is possible for those who wish to swim).

Finally visit Brahma Vihara Arama Buddhist temple, before proceeding to Lovina where you will overnight.

Day 3: Lovina - Candidasa

In the morning you will depart from the hotel and visit a traditional market in Seririt, here you can immerse yourself in the daily life of the village people as they buy their daily goods in this colorful market.

Next, visit Beji temple, before driving to the mountain resort of Kintamani. Enjoy the views over Lake Batur.
Before proceeding to Besakih Temple located on the slope of Mount Agung, Bali highest volcano. It is complex of 24 temples and is known as the Mother Temple of Bali as it houses ancestral shrines for all Hindu Balinese.

Finally, enjoy a visit to Taman Tirta Gangga (Water Palace) which swimming pools and ornamental ponds serve as a fascinating reminder of the Balinese rajah’s old days.

Transfer to your hotel where you will overnight.

Please note that Lovina is a popular place for dolphin watching and many people travel here to experience this. As a company that supports responsible tourism we have removed this experience from all of our programs. This is due to the negative impact that this has on the dolphins’ welfare with a large number of boats chasing the dolphins. If you would like to experience it anyway, it is your own choice and you can book it directly with the companies operating in Lovina.

Day 4: Candidasa - South Bali

At the appropriate time a pick up transfer from the hotel to your next destination will be arranged.

Extension possibilities to Lombok & Gili by catching speedboat from Padang Bay, continue to your beach extension stay in the south or taking you directly to the airport.
