A superb 3 days tour to discover Cambodia and more specifically Kratie.
Day 1: Phnom Penh - Kratie
Departure by road with your guide from your hotel in Phnom Penh to Kratie (259km/about 5 hours drive).
Stop at the village of Skun, known for its specialty: the roasted spider.
Then stop for a visit to the village of Cheung Kok, supported by the AMICA association, where you can walk and observe Cambodian rural life.
Road for the visit of Wat Nokor, including a12th century and a modern pagoda.
You will pass through the Chhup rubber plantation established by the Michelin group at the beginning of the 20th century.
Continue to Kratie via Chhlong. Arrival in Kratie, transfer to the hotel for check-in.
Overnight at Kratie.
Day 2: Kratie
Crossing the Mekong by the local ferry to reach the Village of Koh Trong Island.
Then, biking tour on a track (around 2h) and discover the local rural life on the island.
Return to Kratie by the local ferry.
Visit the Wat Roka Kandal (Wat = Pagoda) dating from the end of the 19th century, unique in the country for its wooden structure. On the way, discover the landscapes along the river and the vendors of sticky rice called "Krolane".
Note: "Krolane" is a local product. It is prepared with sticky rice and grated coconut and cooked in bamboo tubes. The Kratie Province is famous for this typical local product.
Overnight at your hotel.
Day 3: Kratie - Phnom Penh or Siem Reap
Option 1: Return back to Phnom Penh (259km/around 5h drive).
Option 2: Continue to Siem Reap via Kampong Thom (332km/around 6h drive).
On arrival, transfer to your hotel.
